Job summary

Pink Camel Recruitment seeks an experienced Structural Design Coordinator to support the Design Manager and delivery teams on UAE projects. You will coordinate structural design across consultants and subcontractors, review IFC and shop drawings, and ensure temporary works calculations meet site needs.

You will work with BIM/CAD teams to update models, manage RFIs, and track design deliverables against the programme, ensuring timely, accurate coordination and compliance with UAE requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering required; Civil alone not acceptable unless meeting Structural requirement.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in structural design coordination or related construction roles.
• Hands-on experience with structural calculations for temporary works.
• Strong knowledge of structural, architectural and MEP coordination, IFC and shop drawings.
• Experience in a main contractor environment preferred; UAE regulatory familiarity essential.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and BIM tools; familiarity with document platforms (Aconex/A-Site).
• Strong coordination, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid UAE driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate structural design activities among consultants, subcontractors, engineers and internal teams.
• Review IFC drawings, structural/shop drawings, specs and submissions for coordination issues.
• Carry out or review structural calculations for temporary works and ensure site suitability.
• Assist in preparing and coordinating temporary works submissions and related docs.
• Coordinate requirements with Architectural and MEP disciplines for fully coordinated designs.
• Raise and manage RFIs, track responses and resolve design issues efficiently.
• Liaise with CAD/BIM teams to update models, drawings and design changes.
• Track deliverables against project programme and follow up to meet deadlines.
• Review shop drawings and material submittals for IFC alignment and project requirements.
• Maintain drawing registers and records of submissions, approvals and revisions.
