Job summary

SearchPlus HR Consultancy seeks an experienced Stroke Medicine Specialist/Consultant to join a leading UAE healthcare institution. The role focuses on acute and chronic cerebrovascular care, with involvement in thrombolysis, thrombectomy pathways, and secondary prevention.

The ideal candidate holds American Board Neurology/Stroke Medicine qualifications, with UAE licensing eligibility and a track record in cerebrovascular medicine. Strong teamwork and patient-centered care are essential.

Qualifications

• American Board Certification in Neurology or equivalent Stroke Medicine qualification.
• Valid UAE medical registration or eligible for licensing.
• Experience in acute stroke and cerebrovascular medicine.
• Fellowship in Stroke Medicine preferred.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute stroke and cerebrovascular conditions.
• Provide timely evaluation and management of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke.
• Participate in acute stroke pathways, including thrombolysis and thrombectomy assessment.
• Develop individualized treatment and secondary stroke-prevention plans.
• Coordinate rehabilitation and follow-up care, and manage complications.
• Collaborate with neuroradiologists, neurosurgeons, intensivists, and other stroke team members.
• Provide outpatient follow-up and long-term stroke management.
• Counsel patients and families on treatment, risk factors, and rehabilitation.
• Maintain accurate medical records and participate in governance and quality initiatives.
• Support teaching and supervision of junior medical staff.
