Overview:

An exciting opportunity for a strategy professional to join the corporate communications function of a high-growth global business headquartered in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role is within the communications strategy team and reports directly to the VP of Strategy. It is ideally suited for someone from a management consultancy background looking to transition in-house or from a communications team focusing on strategy and planning, applying analytical and strategic expertise to help shape brand positioning and content strategy locally and internationally.

The Role of a Strategy & Insights Manager in a Communications function:

As Strategy Manager, you will support the strategic direction of the communications function by delivering research, analysis, and planning. You will provide data, insights, and frameworks that underpin brand and reputation management, ensuring communication efforts align with broader business goals and providing insights into competition.

Key Responsibilities of a Communications Strategy & Insights Manager:
  1. Conduct research and competitor analysis to support communications planning and strategic decision-making.
  2. Deliver insight-driven reports on market dynamics, geopolitical context, industry trends, and brand positioning.
  3. Contribute to the development of strategic communications frameworks and long-term planning documents.
  4. Support governance and reporting processes to track progress and effectiveness of communications activities.
  5. Develop metrics, dashboards, and tools to assess reputation, impact, and market visibility.
  6. Partner with cross-functional teams to align communication strategies with business priorities and stakeholder expectations.
  7. Help identify emerging opportunities and risks impacting the brand or reputation regionally or globally.
  8. Support transformational projects with strategic planning and insights.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  1. Experience in a leading management consultancy or similar strategic role in a communications agency.
  2. Proven experience delivering research, strategy documents, and insight reports.
  3. Familiarity with industries such as energy, sustainability, infrastructure, or global brand development is a plus.
  4. Highly analytical, detail-oriented, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of distilling complex information into actionable insights.
  6. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and engaging with senior stakeholders.
  7. Strong project management and organizational skills.
  8. A collaborative team player eager to work across disciplines and learn within a high-performing team.
