Job summary

Abdulwahed Bin Shabib Investment Group LLC in Dubai is seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Officer to manage procurement activities, coordinate with suppliers, negotiate prices, and ensure timely purchasing of materials and services in line with budgets.

You will handle requisitions, source reliable suppliers, compare quotations, process POs, and monitor delivery schedules while maintaining records and seeking cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the UAE.
• Knowledge of supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, negotiation, and purchase order processing.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office; ERP or procurement software is an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines.
• Candidates with a UAE driving license may be preferred, depending on business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day purchasing activities based on approved purchase requisitions.
• Source, identify, and evaluate reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Request and compare quotations from suppliers to obtain competitive prices and favorable terms.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up on approvals.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers and resolve delivery or quality issues.
• Coordinate with warehouse, inventory, accounts, and other departments to ensure procurement requirements are met.
• Verify supplier invoices, delivery notes, and purchase orders for accuracy.
• Maintain updated records of purchase orders, quotations, supplier details, and procurement documents.
• Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.
