THE ROLE

We are seeking a Strategic Product Operations Director to play a key role in facilitating the implementation of SAFe Agile, driving governance, operations, and execution discipline within the Product & Technology organization.

This role will ensure that strategic priorities are effectively operationalized, supporting workforce planning, RFP management, and organizational efficiency at scale.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a consulting capacity, bringing a structured, strategic approach to product and technology operations. They will work closely with the CPTO and senior leadership to bridge strategy and execution, ensuring operating models, governance frameworks, and Agile practices drive measurable business impact.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

SAFe Agile Implementation & Execution

• Facilitate the implementation of SAFe Agile, ensuring alignment with the company’s product and technology strategy.
• Drive the adoption of Lean Portfolio Management, PI planning, and Agile execution best practices across teams.
• Establish governance and reporting mechanisms to track Agile maturity, velocity, and value delivery.
• Partner with engineering, product, and program leaders to remove execution bottlenecks and enhance predictability.

Governance & Operational Strategy

• Define and implement strategic governance models, enabling data-driven decision-making and execution tracking.
• Develop and maintain KPIs, OKRs, and operational dashboards to measure efficiency and impact.
• Ensure cross-functional alignment on process optimization, portfolio management, and product execution discipline.
• Drive quarterly and annual business reviews, ensuring strategic priorities translate into execution plans.

Workforce Planning & Organizational Strategy

• Lead workforce planning, resource allocation, and operational efficiency across the product and technology teams.
• Optimize team structures, scaling strategies, and investment allocations to align with business growth.
• Provide insights on budgeting, talent needs, and operational spend, working closely with finance and HR.

RFP & Vendor Management

• Oversee and manage RFP processes, ensuring vendor selection aligns with strategic technology and product needs.
• Lead vendor negotiations, contract execution, and third-party governance.
• Ensure compliance with procurement best practices while enabling agility in vendor engagements.

WHAT YOU BRING?

• 10+ years of experience in product operations, technology governance, or strategic program management.
• Strong background in consulting, bringing structured problem-solving and strategic implementation expertise.
• Proven track record in facilitating SAFe Agile implementation within large, complex organizations.
• Deep understanding of governance models, strategic operations, and execution frameworks.
• Strong financial and workforce planning acumen, with experience in budgeting and organizational scaling.
• Expertise in RFP management, vendor negotiations, and execution oversight.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with executive leadership, product, engineering, and finance teams.
• Data-driven mindset with experience in operational dashboards, KPI tracking, and reporting.
