Job summary

Rowad Modern Engineering in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced procurement professional to develop and implement strategies for UAE construction projects. The role covers supplier and subcontractor RFQs, evaluations, negotiations and purchase orders.

You will coordinate with Project Management, Technical, Commercial and Finance teams to meet project requirements and proactively manage procurement risks, costs and delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for UAE construction projects.
• Manage suppliers, subcontractors, RFQs, evaluations, negotiations and purchase orders.
• Identify and prequalify UAE-based vendors and ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Technical, Commercial and Finance teams to meet project requirements.
• Resolve procurement technical and commercial issues with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor vendor performance, procurement schedules, costs, quality and risks.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly procurement reports for management.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, project requirements, contracts and UAE regulations.
• Act as a procurement advisor to Project Management and proactively manage procurement risks and challenges.
• Proactively manage procurement risks and support successful project delivery.
