Job summary

Department of Energy Abu Dhabi is seeking a Planning & Development Section Head to lead conceptualization, planning, and execution of special initiatives. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams inside and outside the Energy Department to ensure initiatives align with objectives and are completed successfully.

The role involves developing monitoring dashboards, evaluating business cases, defining KPIs, and ensuring initiatives stay on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Business Strategy.
• 6-8 years of experience in executive planning and development.
• Ability to work with senior management, external parties, and advisors.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to conduct executive planning in line with DoE strategy.
• Ability to analyze performance and prepare sector reports.
• Ability to assess customer needs to determine project scope and satisfaction.
• Ability to keep up to date with sector changes and their DoE impact.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development, planning, and execution of special initiatives delegated by the Chairman.
• Develop a monitoring system and dashboard to track DoE-funded projects and reporting.
• Evaluate business cases and advise DoE leadership for decision-making.
• Formulate objectives and KPIs and monitor their implementation.
• Deliver enterprise-wide initiatives on time and within budget, liaising with stakeholders.
• Ensure initiatives adhere to policies and standards.
• Manage communications with internal directorates and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with authorities to implement circulars and follow up on implementation.
• Align DoE control processes with operational processes of related facilities.
