Job summary

HUMAN-AI-Z Nexus Technology is seeking a Strategic Project Lead (PCB & Embedded Design) to oversee end-to-end hardware development from concept to production, coordinating PCB layout, firmware, mechanics, and manufacturing partners. This remote, full-time role reports to senior leadership and focuses on defining scope, schedules, and resource plans while balancing cost, risk, and performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in PCB design and embedded systems, with 3+ years in leadership.
• Proficiency in PCB design tools: Altium Designer, KiCad, or Cadence Allegro.
• Experience in C/C++ firmware development and debugging with JTAG/logic analyzers.
• Knowledge of IPC-2221, IPC-A-610, and UL certification processes.
• Strong signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal management in PCB layouts.
• Familiarity with Git, Confluence, Jira; manufacturing processes, DFM, and supply chain coordination.
• Ability to assess technical risks and balance cost, schedule, performance trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute project plans for PCB and embedded designs from concept to production.
• Lead collaboration between hardware, firmware, and vendors to deliver prototypes within budget.
• Manage PCB layout reviews, signal integrity analysis, and component selection.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for project progress, risk, and quality assurance.
• Present updates to stakeholders and leadership to secure approvals and resources.
