Job summary

First Abu Dhabi Bank in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced KYC/Onboarding professional to manage New to Bank onboarding, periodic reviews, and data maintenance. You will verify forms, conduct due diligence, and coordinate with Compliance and stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant onboarding for corporate and investment banking clients.

The role requires deep AML/KYC knowledge, regulatory awareness in UAE and international contexts, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Management, Banking, or Finance.
• 5+ years of experience in a reputable international bank.
• 5+ years of experience within an Onboarding, KYC or Compliance function.
• Familiarity with AML/KYC regulations and industry guidelines.
• Knowledge of Funds, Brokers, Loan Agencies & Correspondent Banks.
• Experienced with operating in a global regulatory environment.
• Strong Microsoft applications knowledge.
• Pro-active and business oriented with proven ability to prioritize.
• Preference for certification in Compliance, KYC/AML/CFT or Risk Management.

Responsibilities

• Manage KYC and Onboarding process for New to Bank Client Onboarding with periodic reviews in liaison with all stakeholders.
• Ensure all clients are onboarded within the onboarding timelines agreed.
• Verify account opening forms / Swift messages have been completed adequately and verified.
• Conduct Name screening, due diligence and Adverse Media matches on all associated parties to the entity.
• Liaise with client and relevant stakeholders on key KYC information and data requirements.
• Undertake independent research via approved public sources.
• Review AML, KYC forms and Sanctions Questionnaires, as applicable.
• Conduct Customer Due Diligence and perform KYC on third party service providers for Corporate and Investment Banking clients.
• Liaise with Approver/Compliance and provide required documents/information submitted by the client and highlight key information for approval.
• Maintenance of all data in Alpha system.
• Stay abreast with latest regulations by UAE Central Bank or legal environment within UAE and international locations.
• Promote checks and controls within the team to ensure files are processed correctly.
• Adherence to TATs and SLAs.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies/procedures and external regulatory requirements.
