Job summary

Al-Futtaim is seeking a Financial Control Manager for the Retail Head Office to lead central controlling tasks, ensure IFRS compliance, and manage inter-company transactions. The role requires SAP expertise, strong IFRS knowledge, and experience in automation using Power BI and RPA.

You will coordinate month-end close, reporting, tax planning, and audits with cross-functional teams, driving efficiencies and standardizing processes across brands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA is highly preferred.
• 6-8 years of progressive experience in Financial Control, Financial Reporting, Audit, or Retail Finance within a large, complex organization.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and exposure to SAP BW/BPC/SAC.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards, particularly IFRS 15, IFRS 16, and fixed asset accounting.
• Experience in developing automation initiatives using Power BI, Power Automate, AI tools, RPA, or other digital finance solutions is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Transfer pricing transactions and balance sheet reviews.
• Lead month-end closing reviews and timeline management with stakeholders.
• Oversee cost allocations, loyalty program management, revenue recognition, accruals, and breakage management.
• Implement IFRS 16 for lease accounting and monitor related provisions.
• Oversee store insurances, gift vouchers, and inter-company transactions.
• Assist in tax planning and regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with tax laws.
• Lead presentations with cross-functional teams and audits, coordinating with internal and external auditors.
