Job summary

Apparel Group in Dubai seeks an experienced Retail Merchandiser to help develop merchandise plans, analyze store profiles, and manage in-season stock and markdowns. You will plan mixes, allocate stock, and finalize seasonal assortments in collaboration with the Senior Merchandiser.

You will monitor competitors, maintain stock turns, support margins, and coordinate inventory checks to align with store needs and upcoming events.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in retail merchandising or similar role within fashion or lifestyle.
• Proficient in inventory management systems, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong understanding of product strategy, vendor coordination, range development, and trend analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Operations, Merchandising, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing merchandise plans based on historical trends and brand guidance.
• Analyze store profiles using stock weeks, sales blend, and inventory by grade to support allocations.
• Execute in-season stock analysis, markdown management, and stock vs. sales reviews.
• Plan merchandise mix and execute initial allocations and reserve management.
• Finalize seasonal assortment plans and size run books with the Senior Merchandiser.
• Monitor competitor brands and pricing developments.
• Ensure stock ageing standards and maintain stock turns in line with policy.
• Support margin negotiations, order placements, and stock distribution decisions.
• Monitor bestsellers and slow movers, taking timely actions to drive performance.
• Track actual sales versus forecasts and coordinate inventory checks and replenishments.
• Conduct regular market visits with the Brand Manager to assess store execution.
• Provide post-season feedback reports on product categories.
• Participate in seasonal markdown and sales planning with Category/Brand Manager.
