The purpose of the Strategic Account Manager is to:
Key Responsibilities:
Results driven delivery
Manage strategic accounts, aiming to grow revenue significantly year on year, with initial annual revenue targets of 0.5-3m. Develop account strategies, collaborate with LRQA teams, and focus on retention, growth, and new client acquisition.
Account Management Skills
Create and execute account plans to maximize revenue, develop client business strategies, grow influencer networks, and maintain a pipeline of opportunities. Collaborate proactively with marketing, SD, and SDS teams to support growth.
Pipeline Management Skills
Manage client pipelines to meet targets, working with GAMs and other SAMs, ensuring accuracy of sales data and taking corrective actions as needed to keep pipelines healthy and forecasts reliable.
Preparation and delivery of account plans
Ensure each account has an up-to-date, viable plan aligned with growth initiatives, used to prioritize opportunities and team efforts.
Contract renewals and RFPs
Manage retention of business, minimize loss risk, and support new business opportunities through active involvement in tenders and contract negotiations.
Problem solving
Identify client problems that LRQA can solve with tailored solutions, leveraging strong market knowledge.
Market knowledge and strategic prioritization
Maintain strong market insights to facilitate communication, open new opportunities, and contribute to strategic planning.
Contribution to sales meetings and performance summaries
Produce accurate sales reports, pipeline updates, and performance summaries for management and leadership teams.
Key health & safety responsibilities:
Review and manage health and safety risks, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and provide necessary training and resources to ensure safe working conditions.
