Job description

/ Position: MRO Stores Coordinator

/ Location: Sharjah, UAE

/ Salary: Commensurate with experience

/ Work Pattern: Shift

/ Reporting To: Stores Manager

Reporting directly to the Stores Manager the Stores Coordinator will be responsible for the control of parts and tooling to the Maintenance Organisation, its outstations and its associated engineering teams. The Stores Coordinator will conduct themselves in professional manner responding to the business requirements of the Company in an effective and efficient manner and be proactive in warehousing protocol, part accountability and stock rotation. The Stores Coordinator must be flexible in their approach to work, aiding with workload peaks as and when required.

/ The Role:

  • Physical selection and completion of stock/tooling issues to meet the needs of the engineering workforce and the subsequent recording of all part transactions using the Company’s Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure audit and quality processes are met.
  • Completion of stock receipts and goods in-process in accordance with relevant aircraft regulations.
  • Ensure parts are received in the correct condition and regulatory paperwork requirements are met.
  • Assist Store Manager to carry out local customs procedures, update and maintain relevant records.
  • Ensure removed core items from the maintenance hangar are promptly returned and process the items back through the supply chain to the appropriate vendors and 3rd party suppliers.
  • Ensure correct storage and distribution of all components, parts, materials and tools in-line with OEM recommendations and relevant NAA regulations.
  • Responsible for the shipment of Dangerous Goods to and from vendors/outstations.
  • Monitor outstations to ensure dispatched items are received and logged on the inventory/asset management system. Subsequent recording any Issues and Receipts at these locations if required.
  • General warehouse administration inclusive of monitoring shelf-life items, stock rotation, calibration of tooling and tyre rotation to ensure compliance.
  • Collection and delivery of freight as and when required and as directed by the Stores Manager or Maintenance Manager.
  • Conduct daily, weekly and monthly hangar equipment and materials storage checks as required and requested.
  • Support Engineering with out of hours/weekend procurement of Aircraft Spares and services to meet the needs of the customer whilst on AOG.
  • Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, tidy and efficient.
  • Ensure Organisation Ground Support Equipment (GSE) records are up to date & maintenance schedules are followed.
  • Assist the Procurement Department and Engineering with any other reasonable duties as required.

/ Essential Requirements

  • Aviation (MRO) Stores experience.
  • Understanding of AOG situations.
  • A hands-on approach to counter service, tool control and part issue.
  • Dangerous Goods qualification for ADR & IATA (an external course will be provided).
  • Proficient with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, & CMMS (Corridor), Office 365 experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to follow instructions efficiently and accurately.
  • Work unsupervised.
  • Willingness to complete or already have an in date Dangerous Goods, EWIS, HF & FTS qualification.
  • Driving license is a necessity and a willingness to use or already have forklift licence.
  • Sharjah Customs procedures knowledge would be preferred.
