Job description

To work as part of the multidisciplinary team in providing top quality care for patients of KCH, ensuring that any concerns regarding OT arrangements are escalated to the team leader or lead in a timely manner.

To adhere to Dubai Health Authority (DHA) guidelines.

Awareness of and compliance with all practice policies and guidelines, e.g., confidentiality, data protection, health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding.

A commitment to continual personal development and participation in audits to ensure evidence-based best practices.

Contribute to evaluation, audit, and KCH standards setting within the organization.

Attend training and development events organized by KCH or other agencies, where appropriate.

Support colleagues with the smooth running of KCH by providing cover and assistance, as required.

Actively promote the health, wellbeing, and safety of patients, their relatives, and visitors throughout their visit to KCH.

Work within your own capabilities and role, demonstrating an acceptance to extend roles as required to support the operation of the theater.

Assist in ensuring that daily stock levels are adequate in all OT rooms, prepared, and stocked for the day ahead.

Flag to the Senior nursing staff (Lead/Manager) when there are issues with stock levels.

Assist with administrative, clerical, and other clinical duties to ensure effective operations within the clinical setting. This includes manning the reception desk and telephones as required, registering patients on the electronic system, understanding the patient pathway, providing information accurately and courteously, and adhering to the telephone answering script.

Responsible for daily checks of all OT consumables, expiry dates, and maintenance.

Maintain records of equipment functionality and quantity to ensure timely availability and proper functioning.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital or similar setting.
