Has primary authority and responsibility to oversee the management of storeroom inventories. He is the central point of contact for all material management activities including but not limited to moving materials, processing transactions in the CMMS and leading housekeeping activities.
Should understand material management function, inventory management and parts distribution.
Must operate the material management module of CMMS as well as common computer applications such as MS Outlook and basic MS Excel.
He must come up with ideas for improving inventory operations including implementation of 5S and other material management best practices.
He should keep track of inventory, release stock reorders, and generate reports and KPIs.
Work closely with the maintenance team and procurement officer.
Running inventory optimization models to identify overstock and understock conditions.
Perform receiving activities, inspecting incoming materials, labelling and storage in specific locations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or technical certificate in any discipline.
Certification in material management or housekeeping preferred.
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a storekeeper.
Proficiency in CMMS, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel.
