Job description

A Store Keeper is responsible for managing inventory and overseeing all stock-related operations within a store or warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming goods to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory levels, including regular stock audits.
  • Organizing and storing items efficiently to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Managing stock replenishment by keeping records of sales and ordering replacement items.
  • Supervising store staff and ensuring the store is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Handling dispatch and delivery coordination, including generating reports and documentation.
  • Monitoring stock rotation and disposing of surplus or expired goods following the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
  • Using inventory management software and tools to maintain automated records.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in retail or warehouse inventory management is preferred but not always mandatory.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
  • Physical stamina to handle lifting and moving stock.
