Responsibilities:
Inventory Control & Monitoring
- Supervise daily store operations, ensuring accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of spare parts, consumables, and tools.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment.
- Ensure implementation of FIFO/FEFO for consumables and lubricants.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile with ERP/system records.
Material Handling & Storage Management
- Oversee proper storage, stacking, and labeling of items to ensure easy identification and retrieval.
- Ensure safe handling, loading/unloading, and storage of heavy equipment parts and plant assets.
- Maintain storehouse hygiene, organization, and compliance with safety standards.
Documentation & System Updates
- Verify and approve Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Slips (MIS), and Return Notes.
- Ensure timely data entry in the ERP/Inventory system for accurate tracking.
- Prepare and review reports on stock movement, fast/slow-moving items, and consumption trends.
Coordination & Support
- Liaise with Workshop, Maintenance, and Operations teams to ensure availability of required spare parts and consumables.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities by ensuring timely issuance of materials.
- Coordinate with Procurement for urgent requirements and follow up on pending orders.
Compliance & Asset Protection
- Enforce company policies and procedures for material handling, store security, and asset management.
- Monitor and prevent material pilferage, misuse, or wastage.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during store operations.
Team Supervision & Development
- Lead and supervise storekeepers, assistants, and helpers in daily activities.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to standard procedures.
- Provide training to staff on material handling, documentation, and ERP usage.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in store operations.
- Implement best practices for inventory control and asset management.
- Support cost-saving initiatives by controlling excess stock and minimizing losses.
Qualifications
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Store In-Charge/Supervisor within the Construction, Engineering, or PMV industries in the UAE.
- Previous experience in PMV, Plant & Machinery, Construction, or Heavy Equipment industry is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with spare parts, consumables, lubricants, and heavy equipment components.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in ERP systems / Inventory Management software.
- Strong knowledge of stock control methods (FIFO, FEFO, cycle counts, audits).
- Familiarity with logistics, warehousing, and material handling equipment.
- Good MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
