Job summary

A luxury hotel in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Store Receiver responsible for ensuring proper storage and receiving of food and supplies. The ideal candidate should have at least two years of similar experience, a high school diploma, and be HACCP certified. Strong English communication skills are required, along with familiarity with systems like Sun and Birchstreet.

Qualifications

  • Required to speak, read and write English fluently, other languages preferred.
  • Must be HACCP certified.

Responsibilities

  • Receives merchandise according to approved purchase requests/orders.
  • Checks unit prices, specifications, and invoice accuracy against Purchase Orders.

Job description

OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible that the receiving procedures of all arriving items are being followed. Ensures that goods correspond to the quantities and quality ordered.
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for proper storage of all food, beverage, supplies and operating equipment until these are issued to the operation. • Receives merchandise in accordance to the approved purchase requests/orders and the daily market list. Verifies that the merchandise received corresponds to the quantities and quality ordered. Ensures that the quality of food items is being checked by the designated chef and other item to be confirm by the user department. Applies the receiving stamp on invoices and delivery notes. • Ensures the prompt removal of received Item from the receiving area the Invoice being signed by Associate collecting the item against appropriate signature in the receiving stamp (store room or direct issue). • Checks the unit prices, specifications and the accuracy of additions and extensions in the invoices against the Purchase Orders. • Notifies the concerned recipients in case merchandises were not accepted, in case of short delivery or in case delivery schedules have not been met. • Assists the head of stores in the monthly inventories. • Carries out other duties that may from time to time be delegated to him by the Purchasing Supervisor or the F&B Controller. • Follow up incase PO’s not been deliver in due time.
QUALIFICATIONS:• Experience: Minimum two years’ of similar experience. • Education: High school diploma; • General Skills: Team player, hard worker, positive attitude. • Technical Skills: Sun system knowledge , Birchstreet system will be a plus • Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency, other languages preferred. • Physical Requirements: Must be able to exert physical effort, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding. • Licenses & Certifications: HACCP certified
