Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Retail or related field.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a merchandiser or similar role in a retail environment.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data accurately.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal & written.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
• Ability to work under pressure & meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently & as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop effective merchandising plans that align with business objectives.
• Analyze sales trends and customer feedback to identify areas of improvement.
• Monitor stock levels and liaise with suppliers to ensure adequate inventory is available.
• Provide daily supervision of store staff and manage product placement, pricing, display and promotional activities.
• Ensure all merchandise is placed in accordance with guidelines regarding visual presentation and safety regulations.
• Manage the overall look of the store environment including displays, fixtures and signage.
• Ensure compliance with local laws and safety regulations.
