About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager with a strong background in retail and supermarket management for one of our Retail company clients in Al Ain. This role will involve overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, managing staff, and ensuring excellent customer service and store performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in the supermarket retail sector, a strong understanding of UAE products, and a proactive approach to driving sales and store efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Store Operations Management:
    • Oversee daily operations of the supermarket, ensuring smooth functioning of all departments (e.g., produce, dairy, meat, etc.).
    • Maintain stock levels, monitor inventory, and ensure timely reordering of products.
    • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
  2. Staff Management and Leadership:
    • Manage, motivate, and develop a team of store associates to ensure a high standard of customer service.
    • Schedule staff shifts, ensure proper staffing levels, and handle payroll administration.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide training, and resolve employee-related issues.
  3. Customer Service Excellence:
    • Ensure an exceptional customer experience by overseeing the store's customer service practices.
    • Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
    • Implement strategies to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  4. Sales and Profitability:
    • Drive store sales and profitability by meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Develop and implement promotional strategies to increase foot traffic and sales.
    • Monitor financial performance, control costs, and ensure the store operates within budget.
  5. Health & Safety Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards.
    • Conduct regular audits and implement safety protocols.
    • Ensure that the store is compliant with UAE laws and retail regulations.
  6. Stock and Product Knowledge:
    • Have a thorough understanding of the store's products, especially UAE-specific goods and local brands.
    • Manage product displays, signage, and shelf arrangements to maximize sales.

Requirements:

  1. Experience:
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Manager in a supermarket or retail environment.
    • Familiarity with UAE products and local market trends is essential.
    • Proven track record of managing staff and driving store performance.
  2. Skills:
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate a team.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
    • Sound understanding of retail operations and inventory management.
    • Ability to analyze sales data and make data-driven decisions.
  3. Age: Candidates below 40 years are preferred, but candidates up to 45 years are also welcome to apply.
  4. Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Retail Management or related field (preferred).
