Overview of the role :

The Store Manager will lead the team to achieve retail objectives, creating an environment that delivers an exceptional customer experience by serving and selling in-store and through all digital channels.

What you will do :

People Development / HR

SALES

  • Deliver the store's sales plan by identifying opportunities to drive performance across key departments.
  • Lead a selling culture within the team, maximizing sales in-store and through digital channels.
  • Review MI regularly to identify opportunities to improve sales and embed this behavior in the team.
  • Lead the business selling strategy and inspire the team to deliver store and regional events.
  • Build strong relationships internally and externally to drive sales, maximize footfall, share best practices, and gather business feedback.
  • Ensure correct implementation of retail activities and maintain high visual standards.

Maximize stock accuracy and on-shelf availability through effective stock management.

  • Manage stock processes to meet business availability targets.
  • Oversee food fill and top-up processes, delivering cost improvements and productivity targets.
  • Proactively analyze stock reports and take corrective actions daily.

Ensure accurate implementation of layouts, phase changes, and events.

  • Review and execute plans at the department level, reflecting the floor plan and recommendations.
  • Coach staff to maintain and deliver floor plans.
  • Provide feedback to visual merchandising on plan issues and store feedback.
  • Manage space and equipment accuracy, ensuring decor complies with policies.

SERVICE

Provide feedback to recognize great service and promote improvements.

  • Use service metrics to identify improvement areas.
  • Measure service quality using Tell M&S results and customer feedback.
  • Recognize and reward excellent service delivery.
  • Coach the team to demonstrate key service behaviors consistently.

Manage the delivery of the Customer Service Experience.

  • Create a memorable shopping experience (MEMS) by engaging customers personally.
  • Ensure service standards are maintained through checks and observations.
  • React promptly to customer needs and complaints.
  • Ensure team adherence to appearance standards, including uniforms.

STANDARDS

Lead the team to deliver 'Ready to Trade' standards, maintaining a clean, safe environment.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and legal standards.
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Manage legal ticketing and decor display in line with policies.

Drive store profitability through cost control and efficiency improvements.

  • Implement profit protection measures and manage shrinkage.

  • Manage staffing budgets, holiday planning, and absence management.
  • Optimize store efficiency and productivity.

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge :

High School Education (preferably a university degree), with technical knowledge and experience in Food and Hygiene.

Minimum Experience :

4+ years in retail or F&B sales.

Job-Specific Skills :

Excellent verbal communication, F&B hygiene knowledge, and certification.
