About the Role
As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading the overall store performance — from driving sales and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, to delivering outstanding customer experiences. You will manage and coach the store team, oversee visual merchandising and inventory management, and implement strategies to achieve financial targets while maintaining the highest standards of service and compliance. This role offers the opportunity to combine leadership, operational excellence, and customer orientation in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales by setting clear store targets and motivating the team to achieve financial objectives.
- Ensure compliance with loss prevention standards, cash handling, and fraud / theft prevention.
- Oversee all point-of-sale activities, including transactions, customer orders, refunds / returns, inventory updates, and consumer data collection.
- Manage and audit cash transactions (petty cash, POS elements, change floats).
- Conduct regular store audits, stock counts, and spot checks to resolve administrative issues.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and implement corrective actions as per policy.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze reports, and track market / competitor trends to boost profitability.
- Maintain high visual merchandising standards for window and in-store displays.
- Supervise inventory management — stock availability, order processing, stock movement, and back-store organization.
- Optimize stock control, including stock ageing, loss, and space management.
- Coordinate with facilities for store maintenance and equipment upkeep.
- Manage staffing schedules, shift coverage, and training to ensure excellent customer service.
- Plan workforce requirements around seasonal peaks and key promotional events.
- Train and develop the team in inventory management processes (receiving, stocking, transfers, discrepancy handling).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- 5–7 years of retail experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role, preferably within fashion & apparel retail operations.
- Strong background in fashion & apparel retail operations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and related tools.
- Excellent leadership, customer orientation, and analytical skills.
