Job Description

  • Manage inventory levels to ensure stock availability while minimizing overstock situations, using advanced tracking systems.
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality to maintain high standards for stored products.
  • Organize and maintain the storage area efficiently, ensuring proper labeling and accessibility for quick retrieval of items.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliations to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to streamline the ordering process and resolve any supply chain issues effectively.
  • Implement safety and hygiene standards in the storage area, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
  • Utilize inventory management software for real-time tracking and reporting, optimizing stock rotation and minimizing waste.
  • Train and supervise junior staff members in best practices for inventory management and warehouse operations.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inventory status, stock movements, and forecasts to assist management in decision-making.
  • Assist in the development of procedures and policies to enhance operational efficiency and inventory control.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management or warehouse operations, preferably in a retail or manufacturing environment.
  • Certification in inventory management or warehouse operations (e.g., APICS, CILT) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in using inventory management software; familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail to accurately track inventory levels and identify discrepancies.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory efficiently and optimize storage space effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy levels.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with suppliers, team members, and management.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items, as well as perform tasks that require standing for extended periods.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is an asset, especially in multicultural environments.
