An established industry player in the construction sector is seeking a meticulous Store Keeper to manage inventory and ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of building materials and strong organizational skills. This role involves receiving and verifying materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and coordinating with various departments. Receive incoming materials and verify quantity and quality against purchase orders or delivery notes.
Arrange items systematically for easy access and proper inventory control.
Label, tag, or code items for identification.
Keep accurate records of stock levels, issues, and receipts.
Update inventory management systems regularly.
Distribute requested materials to departments or staff as per approved requisitions.
Ensure proper documentation during the issue of goods.
Monitor stock levels and initiate reorder requests to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the store area.
Ensure hazardous materials are stored properly.
Prepare stock reports, loss/damage reports, and inventory summaries for management.
Report discrepancies or damaged goods immediately.
Coordinate with procurement, finance, and other departments for smooth inventory operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2 years’ experience.
- Building materials full knowledge.
- Flaunt in English plus Hindi or Urdu
- Must be organized and punctual.
- A high school qualification or equivalent.
- Prior experience in retail, preferably in a management position, would be advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fast typing and data entry in ERP.
- Proficient in Excel.
