JOB TITLE

Store Design Manager / Interior Designer | MAF Retail | UAE Corporate Head Office

ROLE SUMMARY

The Manager – Store Design will be responsible for executing interior designs for MAFR retail stores and experiences. This will include but not limited interior themes, materials, finishes, space planning, lighting, furnishings etc. The role holder will also be responsible for ensuring effective execution of interior design projects in collaboration with agencies, outsourced consultants and MarCom stakeholders.

ROLE PROFILE

• Prepare mood board, inspiration images and design brief for new concepts
• Collaborate with the MAFR stakeholders to understand interior design specifications and requirements
• Monitor interior design development to ensure that requirements mentioned in the interior design brief are adhered to
• Manage delivery of interior design project from concept, sketches to approvals
• Manage projects within allotted budgets using material in a cost effective and time efficient manner
• Manage and direct outside consultants to ensure that designs are in line with the required standards
• Monitor the execution of the project details on site to control quality and maximize time efficiency
• Review technical drawings to ensure design consistency and ensure all documents are as per the company policies
• Ensure compliance to all policies, procedures, guidelines and quality standards
• Development in-house of some concepts in 3D and produce drawings
• Work closely with internal project stakeholders including - Marketing, Graphic Design, Product design teams, Content Partners, Brand Management and Business Development

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design
• 8+ years in Interior Design for retail environment
• Proficient with CAD, Sketch UP, Vray, 3D rendering, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Hands-on, ability to convey design ideas and concepts quickly to leadership and business partners
• In-depth knowledge of the Global Marketplace with an understanding of the competitive market, consumers, tech and retail trends
• Proficient knowledge of Architectural Drawing details, and construction costs, means and methods
