GENERAL PURPOSE:
Implement cleaning and restocking of equipment at the outlet stewarding station to ensure smooth operation and maintain hygienic standards under the guidance of the Stewarding Supervisor, in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational:
- Provide courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service, adhering to hotel standards.
- Perform duties as per the assigned Place of Work and Master Task Lists, which are regularly reviewed and updated.
- Be flexible and willing to rotate within different departments of Food & Beverage or other hotel departments as assigned.
- Be fully knowledgeable about all hotel services and facilities.
- Follow opening and closing procedures for the assigned station.
- Monitor and carefully use operating supplies to minimize waste.
- Clean and maintain all service utensils, equipment, and station areas efficiently and accurately.
- Wash pots, pans, and kitchen utensils according to standards.
- Manage rubbish disposal according to schedule.
- Understand and operate dishwashing machines and chemicals safely.
- Report equipment issues and breakages promptly.
- Support other departments and outlets as needed, maintaining good relations.
- Ensure cleaning procedures comply with HACCP and hygiene practices, and understand COSHH regulations.
- Handle guest and employee inquiries courteously, report issues, and follow up.
- Maintain food hygiene and safety standards, ensuring equipment is functioning properly and staff are trained.
- Adhere to health, hygiene, and safety regulations according to Dubai Municipality rules and HACCP policies.
- Embrace Accor’s values, environmental policies, and ISO standards in daily operations.
General
- Follow hotel rules and safety regulations, including fire, hygiene, and health policies.
- Report punctually in proper uniform and maintain personal hygiene and appearance.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and presentable.
- Foster good working relationships within the team and across departments.
- Attend scheduled meetings and training sessions, supporting departmental development.
- Adapt to industry and hotel changes in operations.
- Communicate effectively within the department and with other hotel departments.
- Be familiar with emergency procedures and participate in safety drills and initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through constructive feedback.
Occasional Duties:
- Assist with inventory counts of operational equipment periodically.
- Perform other reasonable tasks assigned by the Stewarding Captain or Chief Steward.
