Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Implement cleaning and restocking of clean equipment at the outlet stewarding station to ensure smooth operation and maintain hygienic standards under the guidance of the Stewarding Supervisor, in accordance with the Hotel’s Policies and Procedures.

Main Responsibilities
Operational:
  • Provide courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service following hotel standards.
  • Perform duties at the assigned station according to the standard set, with regular updates reflecting industry trends and guest expectations.
  • Be flexible to rotate within different departments of Food & Beverage or other hotel departments as assigned, performing all duties as per the Master Task List.
  • Be fully knowledgeable of all hotel services and facilities.
  • Follow established opening and closing procedures for the assigned station.
  • Monitor and carefully use operating supplies to reduce waste.
  • Clean all service cutlery, plates, and utensils efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain and clean equipment, tools, fixtures, and the washing area.
  • Restock the service station as needed.
  • Wash pots, pans, and kitchen utensils per standards.
  • Empty rubbish bins according to schedule.
  • Understand cleaning procedures, use of dishwashing machines, and chemicals.
  • Report equipment issues and breakages.
  • Maximize utilization of materials and chemicals.
  • Establish good relations within the department and with other departments.
  • Support other outlets and departments as needed based on hotel priorities.
  • Maintain hygiene and safety standards, understanding HACCP and COSHH regulations.
  • Handle guest and employee inquiries courteously, reporting issues to supervisors.
  • Ensure food hygiene and safety in the assigned section.
  • Adhere to health, hygiene, and safety regulations per Dubai Municipality and HACCP policies.
  • Integrate Accor’s values, environmental charter, and ISO policies into daily operations.
General:
  • Follow hotel rules, regulations, and safety policies.
  • Report punctually in proper uniform.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Build good relationships with colleagues and other departments.
  • Participate in training and meetings.
  • Support departmental training initiatives.
  • Adapt to industry and hotel changes in the Food & Beverage department.
  • Communicate effectively within the department and across hotel departments.
  • Be familiar with emergency procedures and participate in safety drills.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through constructive feedback.
Occasional Duties:
  • Assist with inventory of operating equipment periodically.
  • Perform secondary tasks as assigned by the Stewarding Captain or Chief Steward.
