GENERAL PURPOSE:

Implement cleaning and restocking of equipment at the outlet stewarding station to ensure smooth operation and maintain hygiene standards, under the guidance of the Stewarding Supervisor and in accordance with hotel policies.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational:

  • Provide courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service following hotel standards.
  • Perform duties at the assigned station as per the Master Task List, which is reviewed regularly.
  • Be flexible to rotate within different departments of Food & Beverage or other hotel departments as assigned.
  • Be fully knowledgeable about all hotel services and facilities.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures for the assigned station.
  • Monitor and carefully use operating supplies to reduce waste.
  • Clean service cutlery, plates, and utensils efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain and clean equipment, tools, fixtures, and the washing area.
  • Restock the service station as needed.
  • Wash pots, pans, and kitchen utensils according to standards.
  • Empty rubbish bins according to schedule.
  • Understand cleaning procedures, dishwashing machine operation, and chemical usage.
  • Report equipment breakages or misuse.
  • Use materials and chemicals efficiently.
  • Maintain good relations within the department and with other departments.
  • Support other outlets or departments as needed based on hotel priorities.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with HACCP and safety practices.
  • Understand and use safety equipment to prevent accidents.
  • Handle guest and employee inquiries courteously and report issues to supervisors.
  • Ensure food hygiene and safety standards are met in the assigned section.
  • Comply with health, hygiene, and safety regulations per Dubai Municipality rules and HACCP policies.
  • Integrate Accor's values, environmental policies, and ISO standards into daily operations.

General

  • Adhere to hotel rules, fire, hygiene, health, and safety policies.
  • Report punctually in uniform with a name tag.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and exercise self-control.
  • Provide courteous, professional service and maintain personal hygiene.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Foster good relationships with colleagues and other departments.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and activities.
  • Support departmental training initiatives.
  • Adapt to industry, company, and hotel changes in functions.
  • Maintain effective communication within and outside the department.
  • Be familiar with emergency procedures and participate in safety protocols.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through constructive feedback.

Occasional Duties:

  • Assist in inventory of equipment periodically.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Stewarding Captain or Chief Steward.
