Role Overview

A Steward is responsible for general cleaning duties, operating pot-washing and dishware machinery, and maintaining cleanliness in back of house areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment, delivering an excellent Guest and Member experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate pot-washing machinery and maintain hygiene standards in accordance with regulations and company policies.
• Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and emptying rubbish bins, ensuring proper disposal.
• Keep kitchen and back of house areas clean and equipment sanitized according to cleaning schedules.
• Use appropriate PPE and adhere to safety guidelines, especially when handling hazardous substances.
• Report maintenance issues or hazards to the supervisor promptly.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by hotel management.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates should demonstrate:

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Previous experience as a kitchen porter or in a similar role is advantageous.
