Job description

A Steward carries out general cleaning duties and operates potwashing and dishware machinery to ensure a clean and safe environment, delivering an excellent Guest and Member experience while observing safety guidelines.

What will I be doing

As a Steward, you are responsible for carrying out general cleaning duties and operating potwashing machinery to maintain hygiene standards. You will ensure all back of house areas are kept clean and comply with Occupational Safety and Health and Hygiene Regulations. Specifically, your responsibilities include:

• Operating potwashing machinery and maintaining a hygienic working environment according to hygiene regulations and company standards.
• Performing general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, washing up, and emptying rubbish bins, ensuring proper disposal.
• Keeping kitchen and back of house areas clean, and ensuring equipment is cleaned according to the schedule.
• Using the correct PPE and adhering to safety guidelines.
• Handling hazardous substances safely and complying with all health and safety requirements.
• Reporting maintenance issues or hazards to the supervisor.
• Performing other reasonable tasks as assigned by hotel management.
