Job Description
  1. Provide courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service at all times, following Rixos Hotels Standards of Performance.
  2. Perform all duties and tasks in the assigned work area.
  3. Work collaboratively within a team and provide lateral service.
  4. Undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties assigned by the Chief Steward and Supervisor.
  5. Be flexible to rotate within different sub-departments of the Food & Beverage Division or other hotel departments as assigned.
  6. Adhere to the established opening and closing procedures for the department.
  7. Be fully familiar with all hotel services and facilities.
  8. Perform opening and closing procedures as assigned.
  9. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and surroundings.
  10. Understand and follow HACCP procedures and their purpose.
  11. Monitor operating supplies, reduce spoilage and wastage.
  12. Perform general cleaning duties as assigned.
  13. Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils according to standards.
  14. Empty rubbish bins following garbage schedules.
  15. Understand and use cleaning procedures, dishwashing machines, and chemicals properly.
  16. Keep the work area clean and organized.
  17. Use operating supplies carefully to minimize spoilage and wastage.
  18. Handle guest and employee inquiries courteously and efficiently; report and follow up on guest complaints or problems.
  19. Attend staff meetings, departmental and hotel training, and related activities.
  20. Assist with inventory of operating equipment periodically.
  21. Report punctually in uniform, maintaining personal hygiene and appearance standards.
  22. Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service consistently.
  23. Maintain good relationships with colleagues and other departments.
  24. Comply with local legislation as required.
  25. Respond to departmental changes as needed by the hotel.
  26. Be flexible to undertake other duties and redeployments to meet business needs and guest service requirements.
  27. Attend training and meetings as scheduled.
