Job Description
- Provide courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service at all times, following Rixos Hotels Standards of Performance.
- Perform all duties and tasks in the assigned work area.
- Work collaboratively within a team and provide lateral service.
- Undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties assigned by the Chief Steward and Supervisor.
- Be flexible to rotate within different sub-departments of the Food & Beverage Division or other hotel departments as assigned.
- Adhere to the established opening and closing procedures for the department.
- Be fully familiar with all hotel services and facilities.
- Perform opening and closing procedures as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and surroundings.
- Understand and follow HACCP procedures and their purpose.
- Monitor operating supplies, reduce spoilage and wastage.
- Perform general cleaning duties as assigned.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils according to standards.
- Empty rubbish bins following garbage schedules.
- Understand and use cleaning procedures, dishwashing machines, and chemicals properly.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Use operating supplies carefully to minimize spoilage and wastage.
- Handle guest and employee inquiries courteously and efficiently; report and follow up on guest complaints or problems.
- Attend staff meetings, departmental and hotel training, and related activities.
- Assist with inventory of operating equipment periodically.
- Report punctually in uniform, maintaining personal hygiene and appearance standards.
- Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service consistently.
- Maintain good relationships with colleagues and other departments.
- Comply with local legislation as required.
- Respond to departmental changes as needed by the hotel.
- Be flexible to undertake other duties and redeployments to meet business needs and guest service requirements.
- Attend training and meetings as scheduled.
