NMDC is seeking a Steward for Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger to maintain galley cleanliness, assist in meal preparation, and ensure hygienic food handling on board. The role requires STCW certification, food hygiene credentials, and medical fitness per ILO/MLC.

Join NMDC's marine team and contribute to safe, efficient galley operations while supporting officers and crew with meals and cabin upkeep on our vessel in Abu Dhabi and the UAE region.

Formación

• Basic STCW training certification.
• Food safety & Hygiene Certificate.
• Valid medical fitness certificate as per ILO/MLC requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the galley, kitchen, mess rooms, and vessel accommodation.
• Assist the Cook with food preparation, meal service, and other daily galley activities.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, worktops, cooking utensils, and food preparation areas.
• Wash dishes, cutlery, and crockery and ensure proper storage after cleaning.
• Prepare and serve meals, tea, coffee, and refreshments to officers and crew as required.
• Clean crew cabins, change bed linen, and maintain accommodation areas in a tidy condition.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of food items and provisions.
• Assist in receiving, checking, and storing food supplies and galley provisions.
• Monitor galley consumables, cleaning materials, and accommodation supplies and report shortages.
• Ensure proper hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices are followed in the galley and mess areas.
• Collect and dispose of kitchen waste in accordance with vessel procedures and environmental requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness of refrigerators, freezers, dry stores, and other food storage areas.
• Follow onboard HSE procedures and handle cleaning chemicals and galley equipment safely.
• Report defects, maintenance requirements, or hygiene concerns in the galley and accommodation to the responsible officer.
• Perform other duties related to galley, kitchen, and accommodation services as assigned by the Master or Chief Officer.
