Job summary

MEMCO Steel Pole Manufacturing LLC is seeking an experienced Estimator with knowledge of steel fabrication and manufacturing. The role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, quotations and material take-offs for steel structures, lighting poles and related fabrication works.

The candidate will review drawings and project requirements to determine material, labour and production costs, and will coordinate with Production, Procurement and Sales/Projects teams to ensure precise

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as an Estimator in steel fabrication, structural steel, lighting poles, or metal manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of steel materials, fabrication processes, and manufacturing costs.
• Experience in preparing BOQ, quantity take-off, costing, and quotations.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and estimation/costing tools.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, quotations and material take-offs for steel and pole manufacturing projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and project requirements to determine material, labour and production costs.
• Calculate quantities for steel plates, sections, pipes, accessories, galvanizing, painting and other materials.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement and Sales/Projects teams to obtain accurate costing information.
• Obtain and compare material and subcontractor prices.
• Prepare competitive and accurate quotations based on project requirements.
• Analyze project drawings and identify scope, specifications and potential cost variations.
• Maintain proper records of estimates, quotations, supplier prices and costing data.
• Assist in tender preparation and commercial evaluations.
• Follow up on submitted quotations and provide clarification when required.
• Ensure all estimates are prepared accurately and within deadlines.
