What Does a Startup Funding Specialist Do?
A Startup Funding Specialist identifies, engages, and secures potential investors for early-stage startups. In this role, you will work closely with founders and play a pivotal part in the fundraising process from building investor pipelines to managing communication, due diligence, and investor meetings.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
Collaborate directly with the Founder and leadership team on fundraising strategies
Be a core contributor to ongoing funding rounds and investor outreach
Manage investor communications, document submissions, and follow-ups
Represent the startup to external angels, VCs, and funding bodies
Organize investor meetings and oversee presentation delivery and due diligence
Monitor and report investor engagement and follow-up actions
Ensure transparency and professionalism in all interactions
What Skills Are Needed for a Part-Time Fundraiser in the UAE?
Education & Experience:
Background in fundraising, investment relations, or financial strategy
Proven experience or network in sourcing startup funding or venture capital
Skills:
Strong understanding of valuation models and fundraising processes
Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
Ability to manage investor queries and maintain relationships
Familiarity with funding documentation, investor reporting, and follow-up workflows
Highly organized and proactive in managing multiple investor leads
