Job summary

SML Engineering & Contracting seeks a Stakeholder Manager for the Fujairah project to lead engagement with clients, authorities, contractors, and the local community. You will proactively manage communications and align project delivery with stakeholder expectations.

The role requires 10–12 years of UAE construction stakeholder management experience, strong English communication, and deep knowledge of UAE processes. Immediate availability is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
• 10–12 years stakeholder management experience on construction or infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience with government authorities and community stakeholders in the UAE.
• Experience in the Eastern Region of the UAE is preferred.
• Immediate availability is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a stakeholder engagement plan aligned with the project programme.
• Build and maintain relationships with client, government authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Act as the primary contact for stakeholder queries, concerns, and requests.
• Coordinate with local community representatives and authorities to manage community relations.
• Prepare and deliver regular stakeholder communications, updates, and reports.
• Identify potential stakeholder risks or conflicts early and develop mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with Project Manager, Construction Manager, and site teams to reflect commitments in execution.
• Support preparation of permits, approvals, and regulatory submissions requiring stakeholder coordination.
• Organize and facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and site visits as required.
• Maintain accurate records of stakeholder communications, agreements, and action items.
• Ensure all stakeholder management activities comply with company procedures and UAE regulations.

JOB PURPOSE

The Stakeholder Manager will take ownership of stakeholder engagement for the Fujairah project, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, government authorities, contractors, and the local community. The role involves proactively managing communications, resolving stakeholder concerns, and ensuring alignment between project delivery and stakeholder expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement a stakeholder engagement plan aligned with the project programme and objectives.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client, government authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholder queries, concerns, and requests throughout the project.
• Coordinate with local community representatives and authorities to manage community relations and minimize disruption.
• Prepare and deliver regular stakeholder communications, updates, and reports.
• Identify potential stakeholder risks or conflicts early and develop mitigation strategies.
• Liaise closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, and site teams to ensure stakeholder commitments are reflected in project execution.
• Support the preparation of permits, approvals, and regulatory submissions requiring stakeholder coordination.
• Organize and facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and site visits as required.
• Maintain accurate records of stakeholder communications, agreements, and action items.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum 10-12 years of stakeholder management experience on construction or infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing relationships with government authorities and community stakeholders in the UAE.
• Experience in the Eastern Region of the UAE is preferred.
• Immediate availability is an advantage.
