Role Overview

The Stakeholder Manager will be responsible for identifying and managing relationships with key stakeholders involved in the rail project during the Design & Build (D&B) phase. This involves developing and implementing a stakeholder management plan to ensure stakeholder visibility and input, maintaining alignment with project objectives, and engaging with government bodies, local authorities, environmental agencies, local interest groups, and other stakeholders to address their needs and concerns.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Identify key stakeholders including clients, government bodies, local authorities, environmental agencies, local interest groups, and other relevant parties.
  • Develop and implement a stakeholder management plan with regular engagement and communication.
  • Identify and mitigate stakeholder-related risks, providing advice on opportunities and threats.
  • Provide regular progress reports to the client and internal stakeholders, highlighting stakeholder-related risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure compliance with legal, financial, and corporate protocols.
  • Drive project progression through stakeholder meetings, ensuring concerns and requirements are addressed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional certifications in stakeholder management or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • At least 10 years of experience in stakeholder management, preferably in construction or infrastructure sectors.
  • Deep knowledge of stakeholder management principles, public relations, and industry standards.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience in transportation or rail projects involving multiple contractors is advantageous.

Preferred Skills:

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate risks.
  • High attention to detail for accurate stakeholder management.
  • Proven leadership to motivate and lead teams.
  • Project management experience to handle complex projects and deadlines.
