talabat is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to operate across team, domain, chapter and the wider Tech org. You mentor chapters, drive cross-team initiatives, and partner with engineering, product, and data counterparts to improve systems.

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering experience, including architecture and delivery across teams.
2+ years in Extreme Programming (TDD, Pair Programming, Simple Design, Continuous Refactoring).
Expert in distributed systems architecture (microservices, event-driven, RESTful).
Experience building large-scale applications with modern languages (C#, Java, Go).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
Proficient in automated end-to-end testing and quality practices.

Responsibilities

Serve as voice of your chapter, guiding direction and providing mentorship across teams.
Partner with Engineering, Product and Data leaders to improve systems and processes.
Drive RFC reviews and foster broad understanding of the app architecture.
Sponsor Chapter initiatives and mentor engineers to grow the tech org.
