Staff Product Designer - AI FinTech, End-to-End Ownership

Kraken; Abu Dhabi; On-site; AED 240,000 - 420,000; Full time

Job summary

Kraken is seeking an experienced product designer to own end-to-end design for AI-driven B2C and internal products. You will work directly with product, engineering and leadership, shaping how users interact with intelligent systems and how they look and feel.

The role demands crafting non-deterministic experiences, rapid prototyping, user research, and a track record of taking ideas from zero to launch while maintaining high craft and user-centric focus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in product design, with a portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft and impact.
• Track record of taking products from zero to launch as lead or sole designer, owning the full design process end-to-end.
• World-class product thinking: comfortable with ambiguity, can set direction when requirements are unclear.
• Experience designing for non-deterministic, AI-powered, generative or probabilistic products is highly desirable.
• Strong UX and visual design skills, solving open-ended problems with clarity and elegance.
• Advanced prototyping skills to communicate complex interactions quickly.
• Experience influencing product strategy and cross-functional decision-making.
• Strong systems thinking, creating coherent, scalable experiences from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Own design end to end: discovery, concept, prototyping, delivery and launch.
• Take products from zero to one, turning early ideas into something real that people use.
• Build new AI products for external B2C customers, and internal AI projects that shape Payward.
• Thrive in ambiguity: define the problem, set direction and make the call when no brief is provided.
• Design for non-deterministic experiences, where outputs vary and systems don’t behave the same way twice.
• Create visually rich, forward-thinking work that sets new benchmarks for AI products.
• Partner directly with product, engineering and leadership, influencing roadmap decisions.
• Prototype fast to make ideas tangible, test them and learn, then move on to the next thing.
• Conduct user research and use customer insights, data and experimentation to decide what to build.
• Hold a high bar for craft and user experience in everything you ship.
