Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Staff Nurse to join our Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU). The Staff Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to newborns requiring special care, ensuring the delivery of safe, evidence-based, and family-centered care in accordance with hospital policies and clinical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct nursing care to neonates requiring special care, including premature or low birth weight infants, or those with medical conditions.
  • Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and support feeding (oral, tube, or IV) as per care plan.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and nursing records.
  • Assist with procedures such as resuscitation, phototherapy, and IV therapy.
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Educate and support parents and families, encouraging involvement in the infant’s care.
  • Ensure infection control and patient safety protocols are strictly followed.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
