Job summary

Axiom Recruit is seeking a Staff Engineer (SME) to lead the design and development of backend systems powering AI automation in a UAE-based digital bank. This role requires relocation and offers visa assistance, flights, and annual return trips home.

You will drive architecture for scalable services, real-time processing, and AI-enabled workflows across lending, payments, and compliance in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience in fintech, digital banking, or financial services.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems, scalable microservices, and API design.
• Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka, CQRS, or event sourcing.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/LLMs, including RAG, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar.
• Knowledge of document processing, OCR, and intelligent automation pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable backend services for business banking and payment platforms.
• Build AI-powered automation for compliance, risk assessment, and operational workflows.
• Design high-performance APIs and event-driven systems for real-time processing.
• Develop intelligent financial infrastructure for lending, fraud detection, and analytics.
• Provide technical leadership by driving architecture, engineering excellence, and automation-first practices.
