Permanent Position: Sr. Offshore Construction Engineer (Hookup)

Job Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Offshore Construction Engineer (Hookup) to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the hookup and commissioning of offshore oil and gas facilities, ensuring that all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the hookup and commissioning of offshore oil and gas facilities including planning, scheduling, and coordination of all activities.
2. Monitor and supervise the work of contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
3. Review and approve construction and commissioning procedures, method statements, and risk assessments.
4. Coordinate with other project teams including engineering, procurement, and operations to ensure timely completion of hookup activities.
5. Identify and resolve any technical issues or challenges that may arise during the hookup process.
6. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that work is being carried out in accordance with project plans and specifications.
7. Prepare progress reports and provide updates to project management on the status of hookup activities.
8. Ensure that all hookup activities are carried out in compliance with company policies, procedures, and HSE regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical).
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in offshore construction with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
3. Extensive knowledge of offshore construction techniques, methods, and equipment.
4. Proven experience in managing hookup and commissioning activities for offshore oil and gas facilities.
5. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
8. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
9. Previous experience working in the UAE or the Middle East is preferred.
