Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Dubai is seeking a Structural Engineer to oversee site activities for compliance with project specifications. Job description

  • Supervise and monitor structural works on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and relevant stakeholders to resolve technical/site issues.
  • Review and validate structural shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
  • Conduct site inspections and prepare reports on progress, quality, and compliance.
  • Ensure all structural activities align with the project schedule and construction program.
  • Lead site meetings related to structural issues and provide expert input during coordination meetings.
  • Maintain quality control and enforce safety protocols in all structural operations.
  • Support the Resident Engineer or Project Manager in managing the structural package.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of total experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE/GCC.
  • Proven experience working with design consultancy firms on large-scale building/infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of local construction practices, codes, and authority regulations.
  • Ability to interpret and review structural designs and shop drawings.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Must be currently based in the UAE and available to join immediately.
