Job Description
As a Communications, Public Affairs, and Corporate Responsibility Specialist, this role will support the department across these three functions, reporting to the local Head of Department. The role involves working closely with team members and liaising with the regional team.
- Provide day-to-day support for Communications, Public Affairs, and Corporate Responsibility initiatives.
- Draft and edit press releases, media alerts, briefing documents, and other key communications.
- Support media outreach, including pitching stories, coordinating interviews, and managing follow-ups.
- Build relationships with key media contacts in the UAE.
- Monitor daily media coverage and prepare monthly media reports.
- Align with the marketing department on Communications, Public Affairs, and Corporate Responsibility initiatives.
- Monitor news in the UAE and relevant industry updates; share daily updates with the team.
- Support research, content drafting, and presentation preparation.
- Coordinate with government entities, regulators, and strategic partners for ongoing initiatives and events.
- Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and reports for meetings with external stakeholders and public sector partners.
- Track and report on policy updates, regulatory developments, and government initiatives impacting the business or industry.
- Provide on-ground support for Public Affairs and Corporate Responsibility events, coordinating with partners, vendors, and government entities.
- Assist in planning, reporting, and executing charity campaigns and CSR initiatives.
- Maintain and share updated trackers and reporting dashboards for Corporate Responsibility.
- Organize files, update trackers, and document meeting minutes across all three functions.
- Coordinate with external suppliers and the finance department for timely payments.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Communications and/or Public Relations, preferably with exposure to Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility.
- Agency experience or in-house exposure is preferred.
- Qualifications or experience in Journalism, Public Affairs, Communications, and Events.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; Arabic is a plus.
- Proactive attitude with a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to work collaboratively and foster positive relationships.
- Highly organized with multitasking skills.
