Job description

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Leader with strong Project Management expertise to join our company. This role is ideal for an ambitious individual who will take full ownership of projects from sales handover to customer completion. It involves client interaction, site visits across various locations, and maintaining high customer service standards. The candidate should be proactive, self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects independently and collaboratively. The role requires proficiency in Oil and Gas project execution, with skills in project management, engineering, design management, and stakeholder coordination. The engineer must be adept at delivering project engineering documentation for EPC and Oil & Gas clients, coordinating with vendors, OEMs, and production teams. Experience in Electrical, EPC, Oil and Gas fields, and team leadership is essential. The position is based in Birkat Al Awamir, with site visits across Qatar.

Requirements
Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Conduct Handover Meetings post-sales and review project requirements.
  2. Serve as the primary customer contact post-order.
  3. Manage project finances, including sales costs, material costs, labor costs, and gross margins.
  4. Review electrical specifications, drawings, schematics, and layouts.
  5. Coordinate with engineering for reviews, RFIs, technical submittals, and customer changes.
  6. Coordinate with production regarding project progress, deadlines, testing, deliveries, and site works.
  7. Identify and manage project changes and variations in collaboration with sales.
  8. Coordinate with finance for invoicing.
  9. Participate in site meetings for planning and surveys.
  10. Maintain prompt communication with customers.
  11. Develop and nurture customer relationships.
  12. Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders.
  13. Manage risks, control costs, and coordinate procurement.
  14. Support the team in managing project processes.
  15. Oversee project sub-contractors.
  16. Attend FAT and witness OEM testing.
  17. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  18. Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  19. Prepare regular project status reports and updates for management.
Education & Certification
  • PMP certification in Project Management is mandatory.
  • Electrical engineering knowledge, especially in Switchgear industry.
  • Advanced MS Office skills for reporting and presentations.
  • Knowledge of scheduling tools like Primavera and MS Projects.
  • Process mapping skills and MS Visio proficiency.
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience with ERP and project management tools such as PMIS, PMMT.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools like BIM 360, MS Teams, SharePoint.
Skills & Competencies
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven experience in multi-activity project management within construction or engineering.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and execution skills.
