Sr. Power Electrician
Job description
- Install, maintain, and repair generators, distribution boards (DBs), electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing of electrical equipment to identify malfunctions and implement effective solutions
- Design and implement electrical systems for new projects, collaborating with engineers to ensure optimal functionality and safety
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools, minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency
- Update and maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations for regulatory compliance and future reference
- Provide training and guidance to junior electricians, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team
- Perform risk assessments and develop safety protocols for all electrical work, promoting a safe working environment
- Stay current with industry advancements and innovations, applying new knowledge to enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness
- Respond swiftly to emergency electrical outages, employing strong problem-solving skills to restore power and ensure safety
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of a high school diploma; an associate's degree or technical certification in electrical technology is preferred
- Valid electrical license or certification, demonstrating proficiency in power systems and safety regulations
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in power electrics, preferably in industrial, commercial, or utility settings
