Job description

- 5+ years of professional or military experience. Amazon Payment Services is a leading Payment Service Provider in the MENA region with operations spanning across 8 countries and technically integrated with 17 acquirers and 25 issuers, offering online payment services to more than 3000 merchants.

- The Sr. Partnerships Manager role combines business development and relationship management. It requires an in-depth understanding of partnership lifecycle management, expertise in contract negotiations, and exceptional client management and influencing skills. At Amazon Payment Services, this role will be responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing partners, ensuring their voice is heard within our organization. The role involves working with all levels up to C-level in the partner organization.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Proactively manage relationships with existing partners (banks, card schemes, Alternative Payment Methods, and Third Party Providers). Candidates should have expertise in the online payment domain, preferably with at least 5 years of experience with Card Networks, acquiring banks, or Payment Service Providers.
  2. Maintain and enhance Amazon Payments standard operating procedures with partners.
  3. Follow up and resolve operational and business escalations promptly.
  4. Negotiate favorable commercial terms and improve payment costs with partners.
  5. Explore, evaluate, and establish new partner channels and alliances as requested by product and business teams.
  6. Collaborate with product, operations, and business teams to enhance user experience with technical providers and financial institutions.
  7. Improve merchant KYC, banking requirements, onboarding processes, and turnaround times.
  8. Organize and conduct workshops and training sessions with partners.
  9. Work closely with the legal team to optimize partnership agreements and reduce lengthy negotiations.
  10. Sign up, train, and certify third-party technical providers to support enterprise merchant integrations.
  11. Initiate regular reviews with partner channels.
  12. Propose automation procedures, customizable solutions, and reduce manual processes.
  13. Ensure excellent communication in Arabic and English.
Desired Candidate Profile
  1. Experience in business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business.
  2. Experience in structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional teams to successfully close deals.
  3. Experience working with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and influence product roadmaps.
