Job summary

Raytheon in the United Arab Emirates is establishing the Coyote factory as a lean, high-velocity production center for next-generation counter-UAS technologies. We seek bold, execution-driven team members to help set up UAE facility.

As a Manufacturing Development Engineer you will coordinate with US counterparts to provide manufacturing assistance from development through transition to full-scale production, shaping the manufacturing plan and influencing program decisions.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering and minimum five years of relevant experience.
• Experience working in manufacturing production with manufacturing process development or improvement.
• Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE)
• Experience with technical writing, interpreting and improving technical drawings and communicating technical information to different audiences

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing process development and factory capabilities analysis to ensure production readiness and improve product producibility
• Participation in manufacturing and test requirements development
• Developing Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs.
• Providing technical input and peer review to engineering designs and design changes
• Providing technical guidance and problem solving to assembly and quality team
• Applying manufacturing engineering skillsets across the value stream to resolve constraints, improve process and product designs.
• Serving as the manufacturing and producibility authority within the program
• Recommending process and procedural changes to ensure that objectives in the areas of cost, efficiency, and quality are met
• Designing, controlling, and improving the producibility of products through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team
• Identifying and resolving constraints across the program
• Participating in corrective action investigation
