Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop tools for UAV manufacturing and integration using CAD/CATIA.
• Improve existing tools and lead tool validation for both in-house production and subcontractor deliveries.
• Manage the tooling lifecycle — from cost estimation and make/buy decisions to inspection, maintenance planning, and registry tracking (SAP preferred).
• Apply concurrent engineering principles to streamline mold design time and reduce tooling delivery cycles.
• Drive tooling standardization, configuration management, and implementation of reusable templates for speed and consistency.
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure technical feasibility, quality, and timely delivery of tooling.
• Support the creation of tool inspection reports, repair documentation, and dimensional validation records.
• Contribute to the automation of manufacturing/testing processes in collaboration with the EDGE Automation team.
• Assist in the development and revision of internal procedures and compliance with AS9100/ISO9001 standards.
• Provide mentorship to Tool Engineers and junior team members, supporting their technical growth.
• Actively engage in IPT (Integrated Project Team) settings to ensure cross-functional success.
• Update operating KPIs and participate in internal/external audits for continuous quality improvement.
