Job description

  • Define and evolve Talabat’s long-term 3PL vision and translate it into scalable, forward-looking quarterly roadmaps. Stay ahead of market shifts (e.g., competition, regulation, tech), continuously improving our 3PL operating model. Build high-value strategic partnerships that elevate service quality, reduce cost-per-order, and lock 100% compliance with Talabat’s evolving standards.
  • Own rider supply strategy end-to-end : align cross-functional forecasts with partner onboarding capacity, launch supply surges ahead of demand peaks, and proactively build a buffer for market disruptions. Balance short-term agility with long-term supply resilience.

Performance & Compliance Leadership

  • Own end-to-end 3PL performance governance across quality, speed, and compliance. Institutionalize data-led reviews, coach underperformers, and enforce remediation or termination as needed. Lead a culture of operational excellence where top performers are celebrated and scaled.

Contract & Commercial Ownership

  • Negotiate complex MSAs, addenda, and commercial frameworks with a focus on shared profitability and CPO efficiency. Build cost resilience into every deal. Partner with Legal to de-risk through tight SLAs while unlocking value-add capabilities with select 3PLs.

Strategic Stakeholder Leadership

  • Act as Talabat’s single point of contact for C-level, Legal, Finance, and Government on all 3PL matters. Shape internal priorities and external policy by representing Talabat in labour, logistics, and mobility forums. Influence regulatory frameworks that enable flexible and scalable rider models.

Team & Organizational Leadership

  • Lead and elevate a high-performing 3PL org, including three direct reports and their teams. Set clear expectations, develop future leaders, and scale execution through structured delegation and accountability. Be hands-on during critical initiatives to set the bar and unblock teams.
  • Partner with Regional Logs & Tech to evolve dashboards and decision systems that surface real-time performance, payouts, and bottlenecks. Champion automation to eliminate low-value admin work, accelerate partner onboarding, and enhance payout transparency.

Risk Management & Crisis Leadership

  • Design and stress-test contingency plans for rider shortages, poaching, and partner payment risks. Activate rapid-response cross-functional taskforces during high-risk incidents. Be the stabilizer during volatility and the architect of systemic risk reduction.
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews with top 3PLs and translate insights into functional OKRs. Drive cross-functional initiatives that raise partner NPS, improve rider experience, and enhance Talabat’s customer promise. Build feedback loops to turn field data into strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • Experience – 8 + years in logistics, supply-chain, or marketplace operations; 3 + years leading multi-layer teams and external partners in high-growth environments.
  • Strategic Mindset & Execution Muscle – Proven record of designing and delivering portfolio rationalisation, cost-optimisation, or scale-up programmes.
  • Commercial Acumen – Strong negotiation skills and P&L ownership; comfortable structuring incentive schemes, advances, and performance-based fees.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Know-How – Deep understanding of UAE labour laws, mobility regulations, and 3PL contractual frameworks.
  • Influential Communicator – Clear, concise, and persuasive across C-suite, government, and field-level stakeholders; adept at “What–So What–Now What” storytelling.
  • Education – Bachelor’s in Supply-Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or professional certifications a plus).
