Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Technology/Engineering in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing industry with complex engineering and processes
• Experience or exposure to the plastics industry is advantageous
• Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean maintenance practices, root cause analysis
• Familiarity with AI applications in the work environment

Job Description:

1. Provide 24/7 support for critical plant systems, including maintenance, upgrades, shutdowns, and renovations.
2. Follow preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment breakdowns.
3. Develop and communicate Standard Operating Procedures through manuals and training programs.
4. Supervise responses to critical incidents or equipment failures to ensure minimal impact on productivity.
5. Maintain appropriate inventory levels of spare parts and ensure quality procurement.
6. Identify skill gaps and training needs, and ensure staff training is conducted.
7. Assist during commissioning and handover of new machinery, ensuring specifications are met.
8. Ensure all legal, contractual, and technical documentation from manufacturers/suppliers is complete and available.
9. Review and approve contractor payments upon completion of work to standards.
